What does Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Kors, Barack Obama and Steve jobs all have in common? That’s right they all wear the same outfit everyday to some extent.
Barack Obama wear one of two suits everyday, a grey one or a blue one. Zuckerberg always wear a grey shirt with jeans and the legendary Steve Jobs was always seen in public wearing a black turtle neck and blue jeans.
I personally started to carry less and less clothes since I moved in S-E Asia. I own a few shirts, 3 pair of shorts and a pair of jeans. I got a few button shirts and jacket that I only wear to shoot video etc… Im currently seriously thinking about going very simple and dropping all of this to only wear the same thing every day. On top of creating a good branding for myself, it will lower the number of decision I have to take every day.
There is other area where I currently try to lower the amount of decision I have to make to free up some thinking juice to more important things. Lunch is a big one. I pretty much eat the same thing day after day. I try to go to bed at the same time everyday. In the morning I have a routine that I follow which includes study, coffee, shower. Nothing particularly brilliant but it automate my morning until I sit down and start working.
I currently have a maid that clean my house 3 times a week, so all the heavy cleaning is done by her. I will need a cook at some point because I eat 3+ times a day and this is taking much time off my life at the moment.
Delegate as much as I can so I can focus on the important things in my life like business and family. What are the things you do to free up some times and decision making in your life? Let me know in the comment below!
