I’m planning on purchasing a camera to keep track of what i do. Particularly my workout, travel and maybe some spoof I have been thinking about. I have been looking at the gopro for the past few days. Their camera look really nice. It’s waterproof and the quality of the recording seems to be much better then my galaxy S3.
Gopro hero4 vs sony: Sony have something similar but based on the review I have seen so far, it is nowhere near the quality of the gopro. Im also hoping that there is some sort of guarantee that comes with it. Something like apple offer with their computer. We shall see.
I have been trying to shoot using my phone but it is just really inconvenient. The quality is not great and i’m running in a lot of problem like sound, battery and stability of the image. I’m still going to shoot my next few days at the gym but i’m really looking forward to get my hand on this GoPro.
So if you have experience with the GoPro or with any competitive brand, that would be awesome if you could let me know your experience. You can answer in the comment or just send me an email at alex[at]alexfortin{dot}com
Cheers!
I have the Sony Action Cam HDR-AZI , previously I had the HDR AS15. For me both are excellent, I received the new one which U.S. smaller but the water proof casing is not quite as good, I don’t use them in much water anyway. The first one (black in color) is a little flimsy out of the case you you have to be carefulnot to keep it near water outside the case. The new one is water resistant out of the case, I use a lot out if the case as the sound us much better. I have not had a go pro but it appears the quality is much clearer on the Sony BUT, the casing has more angle options on the go pro. I like the easy features on the Sony, simple to download through wifi built in, has steady shot, pictures, high res and the list goes on. I am not a professional but it suits my home needs ok. I have taken a few small movies #miike2000 on you tube. Hope this helps a bit.
Hey Mike
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll have a closer look to the sony. Lately I learn how to use my phone properly and its going fairly well now. My S3 has a 8MP on the back camera which is pretty decent. I keep you updated.
